We are four weeks into ACC play, and the Florida State Seminoles, North Carolina Tar Heels, Boston College Eagles, and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are starting to separate themselves from the rest of the conference.
While FSU sits atop the conference standings at 7-2, they are set to be tested with star first baseman Myles Bailey done for the season. With their top hitter down, the Seminoles will have to lean on their pitching staff, which is headlined by Wes Mendes, the reigning ACC Pitcher of the Week.
North Carolina and Georgia Tech are both right behind them at 9-3 and well within striking distance. No team has been a bigger positive surprise this year than Boston College, who are 4th in the standings and gearing up for a massive road series against the Tar Heels.
It hasn’t all been good for the conference, though. Clemson has been unable to right the ship and is now 2-7 in the standings, just one game out of last place after they were expected to be contenders. The California Golden Bears have finally picked up a conference win, meaning every program has at least one ACC win.
Here are the ACC standings after Week 4 of conference play.
