Florida junior Thomas Haugh announced Tuesday on social media that he will return to the program for the 2026-27 season and forgo the 2026 NBA draft.
The news was first reported by ESPN.
Haugh was a consensus third-team All-American, averaging 17.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.1 steals and one block while shooting 46% from the field in 34 games. He ranked fourth in the SEC in win shares (5.9) and box plus-minus (plus-11).
The 6-foot-9 forward reached 1,000 career points with the Gators this past season, ranking 50th on their all-time scoring list. He is the second player in program history to earn a consensus All-America selection, joining Walter Clayton Jr. (2025).
Haugh was considered a possible mid-to-late first-round pick this year because of his defensive versatility, IQ, passing and ability to make hustle plays on both ends of the court. He also knocked down a career-high 58 3-pointers this past season.
The 22-year-old is the latest player to announce his return to Gainesville, joining teammates Alex Condon and Boogie Fland. The group could also see Rueben Chinyelu come back, after the junior declared for the draft on Monday while maintaining his college eligibility.
With Haugh and Condon back next season, the Gators project to be among the front-runners to win the championship. Haugh could also be in the mix for Player of the Year and further improve his draft stock with another productive campaign.
