The full fight week schedule leading to Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano has now been revealed.
The main event serves as a return to action for both women competing as Rousey fights for the first time since suffering back-to-back knockout losses in the UFC with her final appearance coming back in 2016. It’s been even longer for Carano, who hasn’t fought since 2009 when she fell to Cris Cyborg in Strikeforce.
Now Rousey and Carano clash in the main event on May 16 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif. with the entire card airing live on Netflix.
Fight week gets started on Wednesday, May 13 with the MVP open workouts at Venice Beach Basketball Courts starting at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT with Ronda Rousey, Gina Carano, Nate Diaz, Mike Perry, Francis Ngannou, Philipe Lins, Salahdine Parnasse, Junior dos Santos, Muhammed Mokaev, and Adriano Moraes all scheduled to appear.
On Thursday, May 14 is the final Rousey vs. Carano press conference taking place at the Intuit Dome Outdoor Plaza starting at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT with every fighter on the card scheduled to appear including the athletes from the trio of featured bouts including Rousey, Carano, Ngannou, Lins, Diaz and Perry.
The final fight week activity before the event are the ceremonial weigh-ins, which also start at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT at the Intuit Dome Outdoor Plaza.
On Saturday, May 16 the preliminary fights for the Rousey vs. Carano card are scheduled to start at 6 p.m. ET/ 3 p.m. PT with those bouts airing on Netflix’s Tudum and MVP’s YouTube channel with the main card starting at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT with that part of the event airing exclusively on Netflix.
The exact bout order and lineup is still to be determined outside of the final three fights featuring Rousey vs. Carano, Ngannou vs. Lins and Diaz vs. Perry.
