PHILADELPHIA − The interesting part about an Eagles draft is not necessarily the picks that they have going in as much as the picks they end up with after the draft is over.
That’s because no one trades as much as Eagles GM Howie Roseman during the course of a draft. Last year, Roseman made five trades during the course of the draft, which runs from April 23-25. In 2024, Roseman set an NFL record by making eight trades during draft weekend.
There’s little doubt that Roseman will be active again in this draft, whether it’s trading up in the first round, or trading back in later rounds both for extra picks and possibly for some in 2027. Who knows? There could always be a player involved.
As the draft approaches, the Eagles have eight picks in the seven-round draft. So mark these down for posterity heading into the draft, then see how it ends up when it’s all said and done:
Round 1, Pick No. 23
This is the Eagles’ own pick
Round 2, Pick No. 54
This is the Eagles’ own pick
Round 3, Pick No. 68
This pick was acquired from the Jets for Haason Reddick in 2024.
Round 3, Pick No. 98
This is a compensatory pick
Round 4, Pick No. 114
This pick was part of the Sydney Brown trade with the Falcons. The two teams swapped picks in both the fourth and sixth rounds, with the Eagles moving up 8 spots in Round 4 and 18 spots in Round 6.
Round 4, Pick No. 137
This is a compensatory pick
Round 5, Pick No. 178
This is a compensatory pick
Round 6, Pick No. 197
This is the other part of the Sydney Brown trade with the Falcons.
