One of the names to keep an eye on in the transfer portal is Justin McBride.

The James Madison transfer made his visit to Lexington yesterday, and by all accounts, the visit has gone well and Kentucky is in a good spot with his recruitment.

The 6’7, 240 lb forward really broke out last year at James Madison, averaging 15.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game for the Dukes.

One of the biggest areas McBride saw improvement was with his three-point percentage, shooting 40 percent from deep last season on about 3 attempts per game. That shooting ability would be a welcome addition for this Kentucky roster.

While Kentucky is seemingly in a good spot with McBride’s recruitment, one thing we’ve learned is that a recruitment isn’t locked up until it’s official. Let’s see if Kentucky can lock McBride in.

Today also kicks off the NFL Draft, with this year’s draft taking place in Pittsburgh.

Tonight is Round 1, and after the first pick, things really could go a lot of directions. It seems like a foregone conclusion the Las Vegas Raiders will select Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza with the first overall pick, but after that, things could get interesting.

What will the Titans do with Pick #4? Will the Cowboys trade up? What will the Giants do with two picks in the top 10?

Barring something unexpected, the first round likely won’t see any Kentucky players get drafted. That will likely come tomorrow.

The draft gets underway at 8 p.m. ET.
