Being the host city of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers were bound to be one of the main stories from the event.

The Steelers made headlines on day one of the showcase Thursday because of one player they didn’t draft (Makai Lemon) more so than who they did select though (Max Iheanachor).

Pittsburgh had four picks between rounds two and three on Friday night and The Athletic’s Mike Jones believes the Steelers nailed it.

The National NFL writer listed Pittsburgh as one of his biggest winners from day two.

“General manager Omar Khan had a busy night. In the second round, he addressed a need for a potent pass-catching playmaker in Alabama wideout Germie Bernard. He then landed a potential understudy to Aaron Rodgers in Penn State’s Drew Allar,” Jones wrote. “Later in the third round, the Steelers selected Daylen Everette to add some youth to their secondary, and with their final third-round pick, the Steelers landed a much-needed, powerful run blocker in guard/tackle Gennings Dunker.”

The Steelers are slated to have six final picks over the last four rounds of the NFL Draft on Saturday.
