The San Francisco 49ers traded linebacker Dee Winters to the Dallas Cowboys. Now, with the 154th pick in the NFL Draft, the team selected Jaden Dugger from Louisiana.

Dugger played 833 snaps this past season for the Ragin’ Cajuns. At 6’5″, 242, Dugger ran a 4.61 40 at Louisiana’s Pro Day. He had a 34.5″ vertical, but impressed with a 7-second three-cone drill. His 10-foot-6 broad jump is good for the high 80th percentile

Duggar transferred from Georgetown after his freshman and sophomore years. He was a first-team All-Sun Belt player, where he recorded 125 tackles and four sacks as a senior. He also earned second-team All-Patriot League honors as a sophomore playing safety for the Hoyas.

Judging by his usage in college, Dugger is the player to walk down on the line of scrimmage and potentially rush the passer, play in underneath coverage, and set the edge against the run.

His RAS score is all green:

At the very worst, you’re getting a long, elite athlete to improve your special teams speed.
