The 2026 NFL Draft concluded Saturday after seven rounds and 257 picks in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Tennessee quarterback Joey Aguilar was not drafted during the seven rounds. He is signing as a free agent with Jacksonville after the NFL draft, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Aguilar play at Tennessee for one season in 2025.
He completed 272-of-404 passing attempts for 3,565 yards, 24 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 13 games. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound quarterback also recorded 101 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns for the Vols.
Aguilar transferred to Tennessee from UCLA after 2025 spring football practices. He never played in a game for the Bruins after transferring to UCLA from Appalachian State following the 2024 campaign.
Aguilar appeared in 25 games, including 24 starts, at Appalachian State. He completed 511-of-850 passing attempts for 6,760 yards, 56 touchdowns and 24 interceptions, while totaling 456 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 140 attempts.
