Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer flummoxed by renegade PSG ball boy

Even the G.O.A.T. is not immune from dealing with a ball boy with an attitude.

In what has become a favorite pastime for ball boys worldwide, engaging in a little bit of time wasting has become something of art form — and not even Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is free from having to deal with it.

Check out this scene from Bayern Munich’s 5-4 away loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League:

Usually when teenagers waste time, it involves them picking up a phone to hit up Snapchat or TikTok, but this kid…he had some stones. With the ball on his foot, looking Neuer dead in the eye, he just totally tuned him out and pretended the greatest goalkeeper of all time was non-existent.

You have to admit, that takes some gumption.

Anyway, when people talk about home-field advantage and how it can make a difference in a game, this is the kind of thing they are referencing.
