Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany did not shy away from praising star winger Michael Olise for his performance during the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinal against Paris Saint-Germain. The Frenchman scored one goal, had seven successful dribbles, and continuously lead Bayern’s attack (Sofascore.com).

In an interview after the game, the Belgian coach (who had to watch the game from the stands due to a suspension) talked about his impressions on the game (as captured by @iMiaSanMia): “That’s what the semi-finals of the Champions League can do: the top players raise their level to the occasion. They always keep going.”

However, the coach made sure to stress that Olise’s performance would not take over the team’s main objective of achieving their set goals for the season. “What Michael did was incredibly impressive, but we need to achieve our objective, and that’s to get to the final.”

Bayern Munich has a one-goal deficit after their visit to Parc des Princes, but the team will surely be expecting to turn that score around when they face PSG in their home turf next week. What we can be sure of, is that we are in for an electrifying return leg in the Allianz Arena with the support of Bayern’s home crowd.
