Super Eagles: Ex-Chelsea boss comments on Dele-Bashiru’s performance vs Udinese

<p>Lazio head coach Maurizio Sarri was impressed by what Super Eagles midfielder Oluwafisayo Dele-Bashiru added to his team in the 3-3 draw against Udinese yesterday, <strong><a href=”https://www.afrik-foot.com/en-ng/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Afrik Foot</a></strong> reports.</p>

<p>The 25-year-old has had a tough season at the Stadio Olimpico, starting just nine of the Eagles&#8217; 34 league games.</p>

<p>He&#8217;s also struggled to nail down a specific role under Sarri, further deepening his troubles at the Italian capital.</p>

<h2 class=”wp-block-heading”>Chelsea boss impressed with Dele-Bashiru in Lazio draw vs Udinese</h2>

<p>Lazio came back twice against Kosta Runjaic&#8217;s side to claim a point last night, thanks to Pedro&#8217;s influence off the bench.</p>

<p>The former Chelsea winger scored Lazio&#8217;s second in the 80th minute, before setting up Daniel Maldini&#8217;s 96th-minute equaliser.</p>

<p>Still, Dele-Bashiru&#8217;s 45-minute cameo didn&#8217;t go under the radar. According to Sarri, the Nigerian&#8217;s introduction brought some much-needed physicality to Lazio&#8217;s midfield.</p>

<p>Lazio are now 8th on the Serie A table, and can kiss any chance of playing European competitions next term goodbye.</p>
