The New York Yankees have enjoyed some success to start the 2026 season, though they can certainly be playing better.
At 20-10, the Yankees have done a very good job over their last 10 games, going 9-1 in a rather difficult stretch.
Currently on a Southwest trip, sweeping the Houston Astros and taking down the Texas Rangers in the first two games of a three-game set, the Yankees have to feel very good about what they’ve been able to do on both sides of the baseball.
Just as everybody imagined, Yankees slugger Aaron Judge has been a big part of that, as the big man continues to swing the bat at a ridiculous level.
Judge now has 11 home runs on the season after blasting another one on Monday night, and according to the latest, he even tied some Hall of Famers along the way by hitting his 379th career home run.
“Aaron Judge hit his 379th career HR, passing Matt Williams and moved into a tie with Hall of Famers Orlando Cepeda and Tony Pérez for 75th on the all-time HR list,” @RobBballHistory of X posted.
It’s crazy to think how many home runs Judge would have if he had debuted a little earlier than he did and hadn’t dealt with some injuries throughout a few of those seasons.
He’s realistically one of those guys who could have put up 600-plus home runs, though it’s fair to question how many he’ll actually hit due to already being 34 years old after just celebrating his 34th birthday on Sunday.
