2027 South Carolina offensive lineman names Tennessee in top schools

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.

Four-star offensive lineman Nate Carson named Tennessee in his top five schools, along with South Carolina, Texas A&M, Clemson and Georgia, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

The 6-foot-4, 270-pound prospect is from Irmo High School in Irmo, South Carolina. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 21 offensive tackle in the class and No. 4 player in South Carolina.

Tennessee offered Carson a scholarship on March 6, 2025. He has visited Tennessee three times and will officially visit the Vols on June 5.

South Carolina was the first school to offer Carson a scholarship on Sept. 14, 2024. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Georgia State, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Alabama, Florida, Ohio State, Missouri, Charlotte, Purdue, Oregon, Coastal Carolina, Nebraska, Duke, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Maryland, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Kentucky and Virginia.

Tennessee has six commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife, quarterback Derrick Baker, athlete Jaden Butler and wide receiver KeSean Bowman.
