D.A. Points is heading to the Illinois Athletics Hall of Fame, the university announced on Thursday, April 30.
The Pekin native is one of eight new members set to be enshrined as part of the 10th Hall of Fame class. Illinois will be honoring these inductees at its Hall of Fame Gala on Friday, Sept. 11 at State Farm Center.

Points was a 1999 all-American golfer after finishing tied-for-12th at the NCAA Tournament individual championships. He won three college tournaments, including the 1999 Marshall Invitational as a senior. Later that year, Points turned professional and holds seven professional wins including three on the PGA Tour.
He will be joined in 2026 class with Ayo Dosunmu (men’s basketball), Jordyn Poulter (volleyball), Howard Griffith (football), Brandon Lloyd (football), Ella Masar (women’s soccer), James Augustine (men’s basketball) and Tauja Catchings (women’s basketball).
