British tennis player Emma Raducanu has not played since losing at the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells to Amanda Anisimova on March 8. Since then, she has been sidelined with an illness.
Raducanu had been quiet on social media for a few weeks. She recently posted a spread of photos with the caption “spring clean.”
141,000 of her 2.9 million Instagram followers liked the post including WTA World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and her British compatriots Katie Boulter and Jack Draper. Eva Lys, Priscilla Hon, and Paula Badosa posted comments raving about how good Raducanu looked.

What Raducanu said
When asked by a follower how she was feeling, Raducanu replied: “Much better thank you.”
This is great news because though we do not know the specifics of her illness, it has been a long recovery. However, it does not give us any idea of her fitness for a return to competitive tennis.

Will Raducanu play any of the clay court season is the next question, or will she opt to recover further and focus on grass like Jack Draper and Carlos Alcaraz. Raducanu’s rank is currently 27th. Fans want to see her succeed after years of injuries and off-court struggles. Regardless of whatever else she accomplishes in her playing career, she will always be the first qualifier to win a Grand Slam title.

Raducanu has barely been on court enough for us to admire the UNIQLO kit. She was the first female tennis player to make the switch (from Nike) to UNIQLO earlier this year.
Hopefully she is able to return to tennis soon, but the timeline is still very uncertain.
