Two days after seemingly breaking out of an offensive slump, the Tigers couldn’t string another game of constant pressure and fell to the Highclimbers 8-1 on Friday afternoon.

It’s now nine straight setbacks for Centralia (5-11, 2-10 EvCo) and it now has back-to-back games against the top-two teams in the league, starting with Aberdeen at home on Monday. The lineup was held to three hits, two from McKenna Smith, and Lydia Lowe scored on an outfield error in the top of the fifth.

Shelton jumped out of the gates with three runs in the second and two tallies apiece in the third and fourth innings. It took advantage of six Tiger errors and finished with 11 hits.

Centralia remains in a tie with Black Hills in the standings with three league games to go.
