Fans can now get their first look at Diego Pavia as an NFL quarterback.
Things didn’t go as planned for the Heisman Trophy runner-up and SEC Offensive Player of the Year at the NFL Draft, as he failed to hear his name called at the event. But afterward, his fortune began to turn around, first receiving a rookie mini-camp invite from the Baltimore Ravens before signing a three-year deal with the franchise. Now, with mini-camp underway, it’s time to see what Pavia brings to the table.
The first clips from the Ravens’ mini-camp session emerged online Saturday, with Pavia seen taking snaps, barking out calls, and throwing routes with wide receivers. And while there wasn’t a ton to be gleaned from the footage, any sight of Pavia is good news for fans who are excited to see him start shaking things up in the team’s quarterback battle.

He will be competing at the mini-camp against UConn quarterback Joe Fagnano, who also went undrafted before signing with the Ravens, and James Madison’s Billy Atkins, who is attending the event on a tryout. If he can keep his spot on the main roster into offseason workouts and training camp, he’ll also be up against Ravens starter Lamar Jackson and backup Tyler Huntley.
