College basketball transfer portal: Top 10 players available

The NCAA transfer portal officially opened at midnight on April 7 with thousands of college basketball players prepared to evaluate their futures. In the new offseason format, all players must submit an entry by April 21 to change programs.

The goal for these players varies greatly, with some looking to jump from the mid-major level to high-major programs or the inverse. Others are hitting the transfer portal to gauge NIL value on the market or set themselves up with the best chance at a national championship in 2027.

As college basketball’s top programs quickly move to evaluate the best players available and build a new-look roster, here is a look at the Top 10 players available in the transfer portal. These rankings reflect the On3 Industry Rankings.

1. Milan Momcilovic, PF

Milan Momcilovic decided to enter the transfer portal while going through the NBA Draft process, evaluating all options for his future off an impressive season with Iowa State. He brings a top-end skill which every team at the college and professional level will value, emerging as one of the best 3-point shooters in the game.

The 6-foot-8 forward has shown the ability to play both the small forward and power forward position as well. He averaged 16.9 points and 3.1 rebounds in an All-Big 12 season where he shot 48.7-percent from beyond the arc.

2. Tounde Yessoufou, SF

Tounde Yessoufou put together a strong freshman season at Baylor, asserting himself as one of the best scoring threats in the Big 12 immediately. After entering the transfer portal, he will go through the NBA Draft process while evaluating his best options in college basketball.

The 6-foot-5 wing averaged 17.8 points and 5.9 rebounds over 34 games this season, adding 2.0 blocks per game to his total. The next step for him comes in the efficiency he plays with and consistency to his game.

3. Allen Graves, PF

Allen Graves comes off a freshman season which turned heads at Santa Clara, putting up historic analytic value throughout the season. His profile will appeal in a big way to program which value the underlying metrics, provided he withdraws from the NBA Draft process.

The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 11.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.9 steals this season while shooting 41.3-percent from the 3-point line. He did all this with a PER of 29.6 and Box Plus/Minus of 13.4 which has the analytics community raving about his potential.

4. Tijan Saine Jr., PG

Tijan Saine Jr. entered the NCAA transfer portal after an All-Big Sky season for Weber State which drew widespread interest in his skills. Despite being undersized, he made a big impact on the offensive end.

The 5-foot-10 guard averaged 15 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists as a junior, playing his first season at the Division I level. He has one year of eligibility remaining under the current rules.

5. Hamad Mousa, CG

Hamad Mousa came to college basketball from Qatar after drawing a certain level of interest as a future professional player. He started at Dayton, then had a breakout season at Cal Poly last season before entering the transfer portal.

The 6-foot-6 guard averaged 20.4 points and 6.3 rebounds with 2.0 assists this season across 32 games while shooting 44.3-percent from the field. He also earned an All-Big West nod for his sophomore performance.

6. Robert Miller III, PF

Robert Miller played two seasons at LSU before opting to enter the NCAA transfer portal this offseason during a coaching change. After continuing to take on a bigger role in the frontcourt, he now looks for a new home.

The 6-foot-10 forward averaged just 6.1 points and 3.9 rebounds but played 31 games and averaged 19.3 minutes. He also averaged 1.4 blocks per game.

7. Abdi Bashir Jr., SG

Abdi Bashir was a coveted piece in the transfer portal last season before committing to Kansas State. A great shooter, he promises to bring value to his next stop after team struggles last year.

The 6-foot-7 guard averaged 13.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in 18 games which he started. He shot 44.4-percent from the 3-point line, further cementing his skillset to interested teams.

8. Vyctorius Miller, SG

Vyctorius Miller took on an increased role at Oklahoma State as a sophomore after transferring from LSU. Now looking for the next step in his college career, he again hits the NCAA transfer portal.

The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 10.8 points and 2.7 rebounds, playing 32 games with 26 starts. He also showed growth as a shooter, knocking down 37.5-percent of his 3-pointers.

9. Cayden Charles, SG

Cayden Charles was a key part of St. Bonaventure’s team last season, but now hits the NCAA transfer portal looking for a leap in competition. He has played just one season at the Division I level but could have one year of eligibility remaining.

The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 12.9 points and 6.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists across 34 games. He also added 1.5 steals per game to his total.

10. Qadir Martin, PF

Qadir Martin starred for Mercyhurst last season, taking a leap from his freshman season which saw limited game-time. While he came in as a role player, he emerged into a starter and All-NEC Tournament selection.

The 6-foot-5 forward averaged11.6 points and 7.0 rebounds, playing 34 games with 33 starts. He was also selected to the NEC All-Defense team.
