Florida State offers blue-chip 2028 tight end

The FSU Seminoles are looking to get on board in the 2028 recruiting cycle. They have a new target at the tight end position, and it’s four-star recruit Braxton Rein out of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

He’s seen his recruitment take off since the beginning of the year, with schools like Texas, Penn State, Georgia, LSU, and Oregon extending offers. Florida State has now entered the mix as well, as they offered him a scholarship of Tuesday.

“I am blessed to announce that, after a great talk with @ThomsenChris , I have received an offer from Florida State University #gonoles,” said Rein on social media.

Rein is the No. 136 overall player and the No. 6 tight end in the nation per the 247Sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-6, 235-pounder is also the No. 6 recruit in the state of Tennessee.

As a sophomore, Rein was a two-way starter at The Baylor School at tight end and defensive end. He would go on to earn Sophomore All-American honors from MaxPreps. Rein spent his freshman season at Starr’s Mill High School in Georgia.
