The Husker volleyball team is playing on the biggest stages this fall.
They announced today that they will play in the inaugural Spikes Under Lights showcase at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on August 27th.
In this stadium match the teams, Nebraska, Florida, Penn State, and SMU, will play for $1 million. The exhibition will be played at 7pm (CT) on major national network that is yet to be announced. It will be the first women’s college event at AT&T Stadium and one of the first women’s sporting events of any kind at a NFL stadium.
The exhibition will be set up with two semi-final matches and a championship match all in one night. Each match will be the best of three sets and is sure to be exciting.
We do not know yet which team Nebraska will face, and in what order the games will be played.
Tickets to Spikes Under Lights will go on sale May 8th and I’m sure there will be lots of Husker fans in the 100,000 person capacity home of the Dallas Cowboys.
