With uncertainty continuing to surround the future of the Real Madrid dugout, a new name is now beginning to gain serious momentum at the Santiago Bernabeu.
While several high-profile coaches remain under consideration, Massimiliano Allegri is emerging as the strongest candidate to lead Real Madrid into a new era, reports Ok Diario.
The Spanish giants are expected to make major decisions this summer after an inconsistent campaign that has exposed tactical and dressing-room issues across the squad.
Internally, the feeling is that the next manager must not only deliver trophies, but also restore balance, authority and control inside one of football’s most demanding dressing rooms.
That requirement is believed to be one of the biggest reasons why Allegri’s profile is now being viewed so positively.
A strong resume
The experienced Italian coach has built a reputation throughout his career as one of Europe’s elite man-managers, someone capable of handling pressure, managing superstar personalities and consistently competing for trophies
Those qualities are highly valued at Real Madrid, where dressing-room harmony is often just as important as tactical ideas.

According to the outlet, Allegri has already made it known that he would be willing to leave AC Milan immediately if Real Madrid formally approached him for the role.
That willingness has reportedly strengthened his position, as Real Madrid continue evaluating their options for next season.
The Italian’s track record also works heavily in his favour, having won six Serie A titles, five Coppa Italia trophies and three Italian Super Cups.
Backing from Bonucci
Another important factor is the support he receives from respected figures within the game.
Former Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci recently praised Allegri’s ability to manage dressing rooms and understand big-match football, describing him as a coach perfectly suited to Real Madrid’s environment.
Even so, Real Madrid are not limiting their search to one candidate alone.
The club reportedly continues monitoring other highly-rated managers, including Enzo Maresca and Julian Nagelsmann, both of whom are admired for different reasons.
