Borussia Dortmund have re-entered the race to sign Hertha Berlin prodigy Kennet Eichhorn.
Sport Bild report that a personal meeting took place between newly appointed sporting director Nils Book and Eichhorn at the beginning of April.
However, Dortmund face competition from Bundesliga counterparts RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen in the bid to sign Eichhorn, who has a reported €12m exit clause – a feasible fee for all three clubs.
Who is Kennet Eichhorn?
Awarded his 2. Bundesliga debut by Stefan Leitl at 16 years and 14 days in August 2025, Eichhorn has played 15 times for Hertha Berlin in Germany’s second division, picking up seven yellow cards in 999 minutes of football.
Valued at €20m on Transfermarkt, the defensive midfielder has also attracted attention from Europe’s elite clubs: Real Madrid, Manchester United, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, among others.
