Gasperini pushing to renew all expiring contracts

Gasperini pushing to renew all expiring contracts

Roma doesn’t want to lose in their last three games: their goal is to collect nine points, hoping Juventus can slip up.

The Giallorossi coach and his team are a monolithic unit. Gasperini has defended the group since the start of the season: “It bothers me that some think this is a 5th-6th place team and can’t go any higher. If they had had more reinforcements, perhaps they would have achieved greater heights.”

It’s not a trivial comment, after the latest 4-0 victory against Fiorentina, like the one about the future: “Either I move forward with my ideas or I’d better look for another position.” A clear message.

Gian Piero Gasperini wants a say in coaching decisions.

He reiterated this repeatedly, even after the 4-0 win over Fiorentina thanks to goals from Mancini, Wesley, Hermoso, and Pisilli.

The coach also has clear ideas on the issue of contract renewals for players whose contracts are expiring.

As Corriere della Sera reports, the manager is asking the Friedkins for contract extensions for all those who could leave the capital on June 30th. No one is excluded.

The list is long: El Shaarawy, Celik, Dybala, and Pellegrini. It remains to be seen what the owners’ response will be, especially since a month ago the exact opposite was being reported.
