KAT and Andre Drummond struggling to get a ball unstuck from backboard is high comedy

The best moment (as of publishing this) from the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers Game 2 at Madison Square Garden had nothing to do with what happened on the court.

After a ball got stuck behind the backboard way up above the hoop in the third quarter, it was Sixers big man Andre Drummond who was called upon to use a mop handle to try and get the ball down. Drummond is listed at 6-foot-11, so no problem, right? But he poked once, twice, three times and FOUR. No dice.

The crowd at MSG, of course, booed the heck out of the visiting player who failed miserably. But then Karl-Anthony Towns — listed at one inch taller — took one poke and BOOM, the ball came free. Knicks superfan Timothee Chalamet was pumped and everyone else cheered like crazy.

That’s how legends are made at The Garden… one mop handle at a time.
