Oregon lands commitment from 2027 4-star OL Gus Corsair

The Oregon Ducks received good news on Thursday morning, as 2027 four-star offensive lineman Gus Corsair announced his commitment to Oregon. Corsair picked the Ducks over Miami and Vanderbilt.

Winning the recruiting battle for Corsair is well worth it, as he’s the No. 15 interior offensive lineman and No. 300 player overall in his class, per 247 Sports Composite. He competes for Hays High School in Kansas, where he’s the top-ranked player in the state.

At the high school level, the 6-foot-3, 285-pounder spent a majority of his time at center but also has experience at both guard spots. He’s a versatile athlete as well, competing in track and field and finishing as a Kansas 5A state qualifier in the discus event as a sophomore.

Corsair had a simple message after committing to Oregon: “All Glory to God, no better day to be a Duck!!”

The Kansas native is the 12th commit for the Ducks in 2027 class, as head coach Dan Lanning and his staff are quickly building a very strong class once again. As it stands, they’re slotted at No. 9 nationally with much time still to go.

The class consists of nine four-stars and three three-stars, with Corsair being the second offensive lineman to commit to the Ducks, joining offensive tackle Avery Michael.
