Breleigh Mayer had a career series against the Plainsmen, knocking in six RBIs with three home runs in the 2-game sweep. The Ladycats scored in every inning of the run-rule win Friday afternoon, including seven in the third.
Rylee Marx also homered on a 9-hit, 17-run day for Aledo.
Monterey finished with more errors (4) than hits (3) in the loss.
The Ladycats take on Abilene in the 5A Div. I regional finals.
4A Div. II
Brock 16-2 Canyon [5 innings]

Much like Aledo, Brock punched its ticket into the next round in a big way with 16 runs on 10 hits in game two versus Canyon.
After going up 4-0 in the second inning, Brock opened the floodgates in the fourth with 12 runs. Surprisingly, Brock had no extra-base hits and did all of its damage through singles and walks.
In the 12-run frame, Brock had eight singles and six walks or hit by pitches.
The Lady Eagles match up with Randall in the regional final round.
4A Div. II
Mineral Wells 0-14 Dumas
* Mineral Wells: 3 hits, 3 errors
* Lady Rams 0-2 series loss
Mineral Wells’ pitching struggles continued in game two, as the Demonettes had all the answers against Rylan Tarver. Holding a 4-0 lead into the final inning, Dumas dropped double digits on the Lady Rams.
Ten runs capped off a 15-hit, 14-run day for Dumas, ending Mineral Wells’ impressive season.
Jadyn Horton, Carsyn Presley and Kynlee Harkins were responsible for the only Lady Ram hits.
Springtown 1-7 West Plains
* Kaylee Falcon: 1-3, solo home run
* Springtown: 7 errors
* Springtown 0-2 series loss
Springtown fell into a 7-0 hole through the first three innings, deeply connected to seven errors committed by the Lady Pines.
Only five hits through seven innings, Springtown’s sole run came from Kaylee Falcon’s solo home run in the fifth.
