Lakeland girls lacrosse locks up Passaic County title in chaotic final

WAYNE – The wait is over for the Lakeland girls lacrosse team.

The Lancers locked up their first Passaic County title since 2018 with a 12-11 win over top seed Wayne Hills on Saturday.

Junior Myla Gottschall finished for six goals for Lakeland and Christina Link added three. Due to yellow cards, Wayne Hills played down a player for the entire second half and went two short for the last 6:13.
