Oakcrest’s Delaney Mason was the top vote getter last week, garnering 90.2 percent of the 13.2 K votes recorded. Audubon’s Emma Speyerer and Hammonton’s Hannah Hines rounded out the top three vote getters.
Burlington County Scholastic League
Jayla Long, Florence. The sophomore drove in six runs to electrify the Flashes’ three-game winning streak. Long homered and knocked in four runs in a win over Palmyra on May 4. She’s hitting .354 on the season.
Alese Smith, Holy Cross Prep Academy. The senior recorded her 200th career strikeout in a game against Haddon Heights on May 4.
Mia Zuccarelli, Cinnaminson. The senior swatted a pair of homers and drove in four runs as the Pirates went 2-1 last week. Zuccarelli homered against Woodstown and Delsea, raising her season total to three to go along with a .419 batting average.
Colonial Conference
Sophia Angelucci, Collingswood. The senior reached base 10 times in four games as the Panthers went 4-0 for the week. Angelucci batted .545 (6-for-11) with six RBIs, raising her season average to .357 and RBI total to 20
Isabella Lamancusa, Audubon. After a two-RBI performance in a win over Haddon Heights on May 7, the senior delivered the lone RBI in a 1-0 victory against Delran the following day. Lamancusa has knocked in a run in eight of her last nine games, giving her 16 RBIs for the season.
Bailey Schoenfeldt, Gloucester. The junior collected 10 hits in three games, including career knock No. 100 in a 7-4 win at West Deptford on May 7. She has a hit in all 16 games this season (32 hits total). Schoenfeldt had back-to-back four-hit games to close out the week.
Olympic Conference
Brianna DeCristofer, Cherokee. The senior has been one of the hottest hitters in the conference over the last two weeks. She has six consecutive multi-hit games and has 14 of her 21 hits on the season during the stretch, raising her batting average to .438. DeCristopher went 6-for-9 in wins over Lenape, Moorestown and Shawnee last week.
Savanna Nieuwenhuizen, Seneca. Going into Friday’s game, the freshman was 7-for-12 for the week with seven runs scored and three RBIs.
Camryn Strother, Paul VI. The senior batted .857 (6-for-7) with a homer and seven RBIs as the Eagles soared to a pair of wins last week. Strother went 4-for-4 with seven RBIs in a win over Camden Catholic on May 4. She also picked up the victory in the circle in that game.
Tri-County Conference
Maura Quinn, Pitman. The sophomore continued her torrid start to the month of May, batting .600 (9-for-15) with 10 runs scored, three homers and 13 RBIs in five games. She’s hitting .478 with 32 RBIs on the season.
Ellie Wygand, Woodstown. The senior went 9-for-16 with a homer, 10 runs scored and nine stolen bases as the Wolverines went 4-1 for the week. Wygand is batting .482 with 27 hits, raising her career total to 90.
Gracie Young, Williamstown. The junior won her two starts in the Fred Powell Tournament, including a three-hit shutout in the championship game on May 9. Young struck out a season-high nine in the final. She’s yielded just two runs over her last 14 innings of work.
Milestone: Delsea’s Tori Jester collected her 100th career hit on Senior Night as the Crusaders defeated Cinnaminson, 7-5, on May 8. Jester has 31 knocks this spring, nine shy of her career-high for a single season
Cape-Atlantic League
Leah Coia, Vineland. Since the calendar flipped to May, the sophomore has picked up the pace at the plate. She’s 10-for-12 with two homers and 13 RBIs in three games this month. Coia went 4-for-4 with six RBIs in a 19-6 win at St. Joseph Academy on May 5.
Annabella Culican, Cape May Tech. The junior has collected a hit in all of the Hawks’ 19 games this season. In May, Culican is 6-for-11 with five RBIs. For the season, she’s batting .550 with 33 hits, 33 RBIs and 31 runs scored for 12-7 Cape May Tech.
Morgan Sanders, Cedar Creek. The junior strung together 11 hits over six games last week, scoring 11 runs and driving in 10. She’s batting .467 with 35 hits to go along with 25 runs and 25 RBIs on the season.
