May 11 (UPI) — The New York Giants will host the rival Dallas Cowboys in the first Sunday Night Football game of the 2026 NFL season, the league announced Monday.

Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. EDT Sept. 13 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. The NFC East matchup will air on NBC, Peacock and NFL+.

The Cowboys lead the Giants 78-48-2 in their all-time series, which dates back to 1960. The Giants beat the Cowboys in their final matchup of the 2025-26 season, snapping a nine-game losing streak to their division rivals.

The full NFL schedule for the 2026-27 campaign will be released at 8 p.m. Thursday on NFL Network, ESPN2, the ESPN app and NFL+. Remaining international games will be revealed at 9 a.m. on Good Morning America on NFL Network.

Several games have already been announced. The reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks will host a to-be-announced opponent in the regular-season opener Sept. 9 in Seattle. The Los Angeles Rams will take on the San Francisco 49ers the next day in Melbourne, Australia. Those matchups will air on NBC and Netflix, respectively.

The Cowboys previously had a Week 13 matchup revealed — a Sept. 27 meeting with the Baltimore Ravens in Rio de Janeiro. That international game will air on CBS.
