Twitter reacts to Broncos opening season on the road vs. Chiefs on ‘MNF’

It’s official: After a schedule announcement on Tuesday morning that the Denver Broncoswill face off against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Monday Night Football opener, the only question that was unanswered was the “Where?”

Now, that question has been answered: Denver will open their season on the road at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Sept. 14. This will be the first time the Broncos will start the year on the road against their longtime division rivals.

The Broncos won both games against the Chiefs last fall, and this game may serve as the welcome-back party for Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes after a serious knee injury ended his season late in 2025. If that’s the case, and both teams are at full strength, this game may serve as the measuring stick for who has the inside track on the AFC West race in 2026.

Here’s a sampling of how Twitter/X reacted to the location for the opener.

While the storyline leading up to the game may center on Mahomes’ return, this would be the perfect way for the Broncos to make a statement to begin 2026. What better way to start than by getting a divisional matchup out of the way?

Bring it on!
