The Steelers are not concerned about not meeting with Aaron Rodgers

The ongoing saga between Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers continues: Rodgers visited Pittsburgh over the weekend, but not with the Steelers, adding to speculation about his plans.

NFL insider Mike Florio says that the Steelers had no clue that Rodgers was even coming to town.

“It came out the Steelers didn’t know he was even coming,” Florio said during Monday’s edition of the “Pro Football Talk Live”. “I talked to somebody who’s plugged in, and internally, the Steelers’ reaction was, ‘It’s just Aaron being Aaron.’ It’s just Aaron doing whatever Aaron does. And Aaron does things that people don’t expect.”

Dan Graziano of ESPN confirmed Florio’s report that the Steelers seem unbothered about not meeting with Rodgers over the weekend.

“They had Rodgers last year,” Graziano added about the Steelers, “they’re familiar with his quirks, and they seem fine with giving him whatever time he needs to give them an answer.”

It seems as if the Steelers realize, just as the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets have, that this is just who Aaron Rodgers is, and his quirks come with the package.
