The Atlanta Falcons made several roster changes following their rookie minicamp over the weekend. On Monday, the team four players — defensive tackle Ross Blacklock, offensive lineman Brandon Walton, guard Layden Robinson and linebacker Daveren Rayner — and released four others, including tight end Brandon Frazier.
The Falcons also cut running back Carlos Washington Jr., wide receiver Deven Thompkins and defensive tackle Ben Stille from the roster in a corresponding move. Since the team has added 14 undrafted free agents to the roster, we figured it was time for a new depth chart.
How many rookies will start this season? Who will start at quarterback? Can an undrafted free agent secure a starting kick return spot? We answer these questions in our latest Falcons depth chart projection below.

Aside from long snapper Liam McCullough, the Falcons will have all new special teams starters this season. Atlanta added punter Jake Bailey and kicker Nick Folk to replace veterans Bradley Pinion and Zane Gonzalez.
We have two rookies slated for starting roles as well. Third-round pick Zachariah Branch is our projected starting punt returner and UDFA Vinny Anthony II is our projected starting kick return man. Obviously, it’s extremely early, but these are battles to watch throughout the team’s training camp.
