Head coach P.J. Fleck and co. have made themselves at home in Iowa this recruiting cycle, with Sioux City linebacker Kason Clayborne becoming their third verbal commitment out of the Hawkeye State.

Scouting Report
Clayborne recorded 51 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and one interception last season. He also hauled in 27 receptions for 302 receiving yards and six touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball. Clayborne has a solid frame, good instincts, and the ability to read run fits and get into the box. He can come downhill with straight-line speed and finish plays aggressively as a run stopper. Clayborne will need to add strength at the next level to be able to handle blocks consistently and hold up through contact as an every-down linebacker. His pass coverage technique is also a work in progress.
