As announced Wednesday, Alabama softball star Jocelyn Briski has officially been named among the Top 10 finalists for USA Softball Player of the Year.
Briski was widely regarded among the top pitchers in college softball this season. The star flamethrower currently owns an overall record of 21-3, while also holding a team-best 1.45 ERA. Briski was additionally named as the SEC Pitcher of the Year for her efforts in Tuscaloosa this season, and the talented junior will look to add yet another impressive accolade to her resume, should she earn USA Softball Player of the Year honors.
Briski serves as Alabama’s first top 10 finalist for USA Softball Player of the Year since Haylie McCleney in 2016. The list will be narrowed down to three total finalists on May 18, and Briski could easily be named to the top three following her electrifying campaign in the circle this season.
Alabama will host the Tuscaloosa Regional of the NCAA Tournament starting on Friday afternoon, as Briski and the Tide will look to keep things rolling in the postseason.
