The 2026 season is not likely to be a great one for the New York Jets, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot of optimism for the team at the moment.
Following free agency, a few trades, and the 2026 NFL Draft, the Jets have a good idea of what their roster will look like this upcoming season.
And as Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report’s projection for the Jets offense indicates, it might be a much better unit than many others across the league.
“QB: Geno Smith. RB: Breece Hall. WR: Garrett Wilson, Omar Cooper Jr., Adonai Mithcell. TE: Kenyon Sadiq. OT: Olu Fashunu (LT), Armand Membou (RT). OG: Dylan Parham (LG), Joe Tippmann (RG), C: Josh Myers,” Davenport projects.
This offense for the Jets in 2026 looks surprisingly great, that is, other than one very clear hole on the roster.
Jets’ offense looks great, other than one position
Looking at the Jets’ projected offense for 2026, the thing that stands out is the offensive line. Membou and Fashunu are two of the better young offensive tackles in the NFL, and make for a great duo together.
Add in their solid interior offensive line with Parham and Tippmann at the guard spots, and Myers at center, and this overall unit might have a case as one of the better units in the league.
Such a strong unit will get to block for Breece Hall, one of the best running backs in the NFL, who just got a $47.5 million payday this offseason as the third-highest paid RB in the league.

Add in a good receiving core at WR and TE with Kenyon Sadiq, Mason Taylor, Garrett Wilson, Omar Cooper Jr., and Adonai Mitchell, and this offense is a surprisingly great unit.
Of course, that is for every position other than the most important one. Quarterback with Geno Smith is far from ideal. There isn’t a better solution in the short or long term that’s available right now, either.
But what this elite-looking offense does do for the Jets is pave the way for a rookie QB in next year’s draft to come into the league with the Jets and be surrounded by an elite group of players at every position on offense.
This great offense might be wasted for a season with Smith, but soon, a franchise QB hopeful for the Jets might get to operate in this high-upside offense in 2027 and beyond.
