The 2026 NFL regular season schedule will be officially announced tonight at 8:00 pm Eastern. Both NFL Network and ESPN will be covering the schedule release.
Of course we already know the 17 Jets opponents for the upcoming season. We also know whether these will be home or road games. All we really are discovering are the dates and times of these games. Of course that is important. A stretch of games that is particularly easy or difficult could help make or break the season. Still, does the schedule release deserve all of this fanfare? I would say no.
The funniest part of the day is that we often don’t need to wait until 8:00 to start learning about the schedule. Games are leaked in advance.
