Is Juan Soto playing today? Mets announce lineup vs Tigers for Thursday

After a brief scare, the Mets won’t be down another superstar entering Thursday’s series finale with the Tigers.

Juan Soto exited Wednesday night’s game ahead of his seventh-inning at-bat after fouling a pitch off the top of his right foot four innings earlier. X-rays came back negative.

Soto was back in the Mets’ lineup as the club’s designated hitter for the final game of the club’s three-game series at 1:10 p.m. at Citi Field.

The Mets have the chance to secure their first three-game series sweep of the season after a rousing 3-2 win in 10 innings on Wednesday night, with Carson Benge collecting his first walk-off hit of his career to cap a three-hit night.

The Mets enter the contest with a 17-25 record and winners of three of their last four series.
