New England Patriots 2026 preseason schedule revealed

The New England Patriots’ 2026 preseason schedule released on Thursday.

According to MassLive’s Mark Daniels, the Patriots will host the Indianapolis Colts on August 13, followed by the Philadelphia Eagles on August 22, before playing the Cleveland Browns on the road on August 27.

The Patriots will get the chance to grease their wheels against two teams in the Colts and the Browns that did not make the playoffs in 2025. The Colts finished with an 8-9 record last season. The Browns went 5-12 in 2025.

The Eagles were the only team of the three that made the postseason. Philadelphia went 11-6 on the year.

The Colts brought back quarterback Daniel Jones and wide receiver Alec Pierce in free agency. Indianapolis will challenge New England’s defense in the passing game, as well as the ground game behind Jonathan Taylor. The Browns will be getting quarterback Deshaun Watson back after he missed the entire 2025 season due to a torn Achilles.

The Eagles will potentially look different from their current iteration on August 22, as Philadelphia is anticipated to trade star wide receiver A.J. Brown to New England on or after June 1. The Eagles are strong on offense and defense, which will allow the Giants to get in game shape in the lead-up to Week 1 of next season.
