6A Playoffs

Weber 14, Lone Peak 8

No. 6 Weber secured a decisive 14-8 victory over No. 11 Lone Peak in the second round of the 6A state tournament. With this win, Weber advances to this Saturday’s 6A Quarterfinals. Lone Peak struggled to contain the Warriors’ offensive prowess throughout the match.

Mountain Ridge 18, Syracuse 7

No. 4 Mountain Ridge advanced to the 6A Quarterfinals with an 18-7 victory over No. 13 Syracuse in the second round of the state tournament. JT Rigby led the Sentinels with six goals and 13 total points, supported by Gavin Gurr’s six goals and Trace Hook’s five goals. Mountain Ridge will face its next challenger in this Saturday’s 6A Quarterfinals.

Corner Canyon 27, Cedar Valley 3

Ashton Brown spearheaded the offense with six goals and three assists as No. 1 Corner Canyon dominated No. 16 Cedar Valley, winning 27-3 in a 6A state tournament second-round matchup. Long Stick Midfielder Maddox Green contributed significantly with one goal, two assists, and two caused turnovers, while Kampton Dutton added five goals and one assist to secure the victory. Corner Canyon now advances to the 6A Quarterfinals this Saturday.

Herriman 12, Riverton 9

In the second round of the 6A state tournament, No. 10 Herriman beat No. 7 Riverton with a score of 12-9. The Mustangs advance to this Saturday’s 6A Quarterfinals, continuing their playoff journey. Riverton put up a strong fight, but ultimately couldn’t hold off Herriman’s surge.

Bingham 13, Lehi 9

Fifth-ranked Bingham advanced to the 6A Quarterfinals with a 13-9 victory over 12th-ranked Lehi in the second round of the tournament. Despite Lehi’s efforts, Bingham capitalized on its strong offensive play to secure the win in this region game. The Miners will face their next challenge this Saturday in the 6A Quarterfinals.

Westlake 11, Davis 5

Krew Soper’s 78% faceoff win rate and Rufus Christiansen’s three goals and one assist propelled No. 8 Westlake to a commanding 11-5 victory over No. 9 Davis in the second round of the 6A state tournament. Ethan Rasmussen contributed with a 64% save rate, helping his team advance to Saturday’s 6A Quarterfinals. Westlake’s dominant play was evident with 31 shots on goal compared to Davis’s 14.

Skyridge 17, Copper Hills 2

No. 2 Skyridge defeated No. 15 Copper Hills 17-2 in the second round of the 6A state tournament. With this win, Skyridge advances to the 6A Quarterfinals this Saturday.

Farmington 16, American Fork 5

Farmington, ranked No. 3, emerged victorious with a 16-5 win against No. 14 American Fork in the 6A state tournament’s second round. The victory secures Farmington a spot in the 6A Quarterfinals this Saturday. American Fork was unable to keep pace with Farmington’s commanding performance throughout the game.

5A Playoffs

Box Elder 15, Timpview 7

Box Elder, ranked No. 11, upset No. 6 Timpview 15-7 in the second round of the 5A state tournament to advance to the 5A Quarterfinals on Saturday. Box Elder’s decisive victory came despite being the lower-seeded team, showcasing their strength on the field. Timpview fell behind early and was unable to recover, ending their playoff run.

Brighton 17, Skyline 5

Gabriel Carrera contributed three goals and five assists to lead No. 2 Brighton to a commanding 17-5 victory over No. 18 Skyline in the second round of the 5A state tournament. Burton KlC added four goals for the Bengals. With the win, Brighton advances to the 5A Quarterfinals on Saturday.

Park City 18, Northridge 0

Jesse Dittmer scored three goals, and Max Gordon along with Henry Birch maintained a perfect record in the net as No. 1 Park City decisively shut out No. 16 Northridge, 18-0, in a state tournament second round nonregion game. Reid McCurdy and Tommy Davis led a formidable defense that stifled the Northridge offense throughout the match. With this victory, Park City advances to the 5A Quarterfinals on Saturday.

Wasatch 14, Payson 3

Fourth-ranked Wasatch triumphed over No. 13 Payson in a commanding 14-3 victory in the 5A state tournament second round. The Wasps secured their advancement to this Saturday’s 5A Quarterfinals with a strong performance on their home field. Payson struggled to match the intensity of Wasatch and fell short in the nonregion contest.

Judge Memorial 13, Pleasant Grove 1

Judge Memorial, ranked seventh, secured its spot in the 5A Quarterfinals with a decisive 13-1 victory over No. 10 Pleasant Grove in the second round of the 5A state tournament. Judge Memorial’s defense held strong, allowing only one goal, while their offense steadily built the lead with a balanced attack across all quarters. The Bulldogs will advance to face their next challenge this Saturday.

Olympus 9, West Field 5

Olympus secured a victory in the second round of the 5A state tournament with a 9-5 win against West Field in this nonregion contest. The Titans demonstrated their dominance on their home turf, pushing through a competitive first half to lead comfortably by the game’s end. East 16, Bountiful 13

4A Playoffs

Sky View 19, Dixie 3

Top-ranked Sky View easily defeated No. 12 Dixie 19-3 in the second round of the 4A state tournament to advance to this Saturday’s quarterfinals. Led by Nixon Bohm with six goals and two assists, the Bobcats established a commanding lead early, dominating each quarter of play. Stetson Summer contributed four goals, while Zach Tempest added three goals and an assist to help secure the decisive victory.

Bear River 15, Crimson Cliffs 3

Preston Wilkinson, Jace Gardner, and Ty Hess each scored three goals to lead No. 3 Bear River to a commanding 15-3 victory over No. 14 Crimson Cliffs in the second round of the 4A state tournament. With the win, Bear River advances to Saturday’s 4A Quarterfinals. Crimson Cliffs struggled to find its footing against a dominant Bears squad that controlled the game.

Mountain Crest 7, Snow Canyon 6

No. 8 Mountain Crest edged out No. 9 Snow Canyon in a closely contested region game, winning 7-6. Camden Atkinson contributed to Mountain Crest’s effort with one goal and four ground balls. With this victory, Mountain Crest advances to the 4A state tournament quarterfinals, set for this Saturday.

Waterford 17, Hurricane 2

No. 2 Waterford dominated No. 15 Hurricane in the 4A state tournament second round, cruising to a 17-2 victory. The Ravens overwhelmed the Tigers with their potent offense and stifling defense. Waterford advances to this Saturday’s 4A Quarterfinals.

Timpanogos 10, Provo 4

The No. 6 Timpanogos Timberwolves defeated the No. 11 Provo Bulldogs 10-4 in the second round of the 4A state tournament, advancing to this Saturday’s quarterfinals. Timpanogos showcased a strong performance on its home field, effectively shutting down the Provo offense. The Timberwolves will look to extend their winning streak in the upcoming 4A Quarterfinals.

Green Canyon 10, Jordan 2

Fourth-seeded Green Canyon dominated 13th-ranked Jordan with a 10-2 victory in the second round of the 4A state tournament. Hayden Reeder led Green Canyon with three goals and two assists. The Wolves advance to this Saturday’s 4A Quarterfinals.

Ridgeline 8, Highland 5

In the 4A state tournament second round, Andrew Johnson’s four goals propelled No. 7 Ridgeline to an 8-5 victory over No. 10 Highland, clinching a spot in this Saturday’s 4A Quarterfinals. Ridgeline surged ahead with a strong first quarter, which saw them netting four goals, and held firm for the remainder of the match. Highland’s efforts to narrow the gap were thwarted by Ridgeline’s solid defense, ensuring their advancement in the playoffs.

Juan Diego 19, Canyon View 2

Top-ranked Juan Diego decisively prevailed over No. 16 Canyon View with a 19-2 victory in the nonregion second round of the 4A state tournament. Juan Diego dominated on its home field, demonstrating why it’s the favorite moving forward. With the win, the Soaring Eagle advance to this Saturday’s 4A Quarterfinals, maintaining their quest for the state title.
