PGA Championship: Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau among those in danger of missing the cut

The top 70 and ties will make the cut at the 108th PGA Championship, and already a few notable players are in danger of not making it to the weekend.

Biggest among those: Rory McIlroy. He came into tournament among the heavy favorites, behind only Scottie Scheffler. But after a 4-over 74 on Thursday, McIlroy heads into Friday’s Round 2 in a tie for 102nd.

At least that’s better than where Bryson DeChambeau sits entering Friday’s round.

DeChambeau, at +6, is T130 after Round 1. Keep in mind, there are 156 total players in the tournament.

Others on the wrong side up the top 70 entering Round 2: Dustin Johnson, Akshay Bahtia, Adam Scott, Keegan Bradley, Viktor Hovland, Wyndham Clark and Max Homa.

Per datagolf.com, the projected cut is +3. With weather playing a major factor in the early going, that could change quickly.
