ONE Friday Fights 154 Co-Main Event Result: Rungnarai Sees Off Den In Muay Thai Thriller

Two-time Muay Thai World Champion Rungnarai Kiatmoo9 earned a hard-fought victory over Den Sitnayoktaweeptaphong in the strawweight Muay Thai co-main event of ONE Friday Fights 154 on Friday, May 15, live in Asia primetime, from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium.

After a measured opening, in which both men tested one another with various tricks, Rungnarai shifted into a higher gear and cracked the Sak Buriram martial artist with a sharp left as he attempted to press forward. Den remained patient, however, waiting for the right moment to land.

In round two, Den brought the fight to the Evolve MMA representative, exploding with punch-kick combinations while constantly trying to close the distance. The 30-year-old Rungnarai, however, repeatedly found a way around oncoming traffic, intercepting his fellow Thai with creative counters.

As the pace intensified, the multi-time World Champion shone brighter. He landed with power and volume, including a crushing right hand that opened a cut on Den’s face from accumulated damage.

Both warriors swung for the fences in the third stanza. Den pushed inside looking for something significant, while Rungnarai kept his focus upstairs, racking up more points via punches and kicks across his opponent’s damaged right eye.

When the final bell sounded, Rungnarai’s cleaner counters, precision striking, and composure under pressure earned the Thai veteran a unanimous decision victory that pushed his professional record to 63-16.
