BRANDON — Brandon football running back Tyson Robinson committed to Michigan.
Robinson made the announcement at the high school on May 16.
The four-star Robinson is ranked the No. 15 running back in the nation and the No. 8 player in the state for the Class of 2027, according to 247Sports Composite.
The 5-foot-9, 195-pound Robinson chose Michigan over numerous Power Four offers, including Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Texas, Miami and Alabama, among others.
Robinson missed four games due to injury in the 2025 season but still produced 1,050 rushing yards on 165 carries with 24 receptions for 295 receiving yards while scoring nine total touchdowns.
Robinson was on the roster in the Polynesian Bowl and the Under Armour All-America Game as a junior.
Brandon ended the 2025 season 7-6 with a midseason coaching change, but reached the MHSAA 7A semifinal game and fell to eventual champions Gulfport, 40-7.
