Boys’ track
District E Division 1 Championship: Wachusett’s Amani Mbugua won the 200 (22.09) and the 400 (50.09), Brady Bartley was tops in the mile (4:29.23) and Benjamin Duffy won the 2 mile (9:56.18) as the Mountaineers claimed the team title with 116 points at Auburn High.
Worcester Tech took second with 86 points, as Gershom Opoku win the 100 (10.9) and the high jump (6-2) and Nana Brempong, Leet Leet, Emmanuel Mireku and Kayden Gray won the 1,600 (3:35.05). Leet also won the triple jump (42-2.5) for Worcester Tech.
Westborough’s Dylan Hosein won the pole vault (12 feet, 6 inches) and Casey Peak claimed the title in the discus (124-4) as the Rangers took third with 67 points.
Quabbin’s Jinxi Zou (110 hurdles, 15.03) and Sadiki Francis (400 hurdles, 58.38) help the Panthers take fourth with 58.5 points.
Oakmont’s Jayden Brostrom won the 800 with a school-record time of 1:58.49.
Other individual winners included Shrewsbury’s Makhy Washington in the long jump (21-3.5) and Fitchburg’s Cole Lashua in the shot put (48-10), while Shrewsbury’s Zayd Ibrahim, Dan iel Tian, Guoyu Lin and Chirantan Mavinahalli won the 400 relay (44.03) and Hudson’s Jason Blake, Oliver Mello, Harrison Mello and Jackson Deveney won the 3,200 (8:28.70).
District E Division 2 Championship: Clinton continued its stellar spring, as Sean Blaze won the 100 (10:85), 200 (22.47) and long jump (21-7) to help the Gaels cruise to the team title with 105 points at Gardner High.
Clinton’s Jamison Brier won the shot put (50-11) and the Gaels took home wins in the 400 relay (44.22) and the 1,600 relay (3:30.73).
Ayer-Shirley’s Jake Leone won the 2 mile (9:58.5) as the Panthers placed second with 84 points, while Gardner’s Kingsley Yang won the high jump (6-2) to help the Wildcats to third with 51 points.
Uxbridge tied for fourth with Narragansett with 43 points, as the Spartans got a win in the discus from Julian Rosenburg (162-11), while the Warriors were led by Jordan Baumann sweeping the 100 hurdles (15.09) and the 400 hurdles (57.26).
Other individual winners included Parkers’ Nathaniel Henshaw (mile, 4:24.95), Whitinsville Christian’s Nathanael Vos (800, 2:03.05), Lunenburg’s Matt Agnese (400, 50.12), Littleton’s Owen Kobaly (pole vault, 11-6), Leicester’s Jeremiah Kinsumba (triple jump, 46-2) and Quaboag’s Jacob Cacace (javelin, 153-7). Parker Charger won the 3.200 relay (8;29.07)/
Girls’ track
District E Division 1 Championship: Wachusett’s Naomi Witt won the 800 (2:18.57) and the mile (5:15.79) and the Mountaineers’ relay teams took home wins in the 1,600 and 3,200 to capture the team title with 127.25 points at Auburn High.
Wachusett’s Mackenzy Perry, Kaitlyn Brenn, Keira Chabot and Annika Kindorf took the 3,200 (10:10.22), and teammates Madison Benson, Elenna Annunziata, Leah Mead and Paige Daley won the 1,600 (4:18.84).
Algonquin’s Jillian Belniak won the 400 hurdles (1:09.16), Charlotte Lipka won the high jump (5-2) and Tanvi Mehta won the 400 (58.39) as the Titans were second with 112.5 points.
Westborough’s Al Regnier won the 100 hurdles (15.0), long jump (18-3) and the triple jump (36-4.25), Clare Hall won the 2 mile (11:48.05) and Imani Curran won the pole jaul (9-6) as the Rangers took third with 105.50 points.
Auburn’s Isabel Zukowski won the discus (119-0) and the shot put (38-10), Shrewsbury’s Lucy McNeil won the javelin (101-4) and Fitchburg’s Therea Edouard (200, 26.32) and Jayzelle Florival (100, 12.28) took home individual titles and also teamed with Fiona Palmer and Arianna Louissant to give the Red Raiders a win in the 400 relay (49.75).
District E Division 2 Championship: Aysha Silva won the shot put (34-0.25), while Maya Jenkins was second in the 100 (13.08) and the long jump (16-2.75) and third in the 200 (26.90), Elizabeth Zickus was second in the triple jump (36-7), Stephanie Meredith was second in the discus (103-1) and Jalila Menkari was second in the 800 (2:30) as the Eagles won the team title with 95 points at Gardner High.
Ayer-Shirley was second with 74.25 points, as the Panthers were led by Roxane McKenzie, who won the 100 (12.58) and 200 (26.27).
Lunenburg was third with 70.75 points, as Olivia Coronella was second in the 2 mile (11:23.54) and fifth in the mile, Sophia Viveiros was fourth in the javelin and Karynna Long was fourth in the 100 hurdles (16.75) and seventh in the discus.
Littleton’s Bella Chen won the discus (104-0) to help the Tigers take fourth with 50.5 points and Whitinsville Christian placed fifth with 47.25 points, as Abby Flagg won the mile (5:08.22) and Emily Flagg took the 2 mile (10:45.09).
Millbury’s Ava Lucke won the long jump (16-8.5) and Mila Nikiforow won the 800 (2:23.08) as the Woolies took sixth with 46 points.
Tyngsborough’s Savannah Jansson won the 100 hurdles (15.37), 400 hurdles (1:04.78) and the high jump (5-2). Other individual winners included David Prouty’s Zoe Barnett (triple jump, 36-11.75), Valley Tech’s Abigail Bilodeau (400, 57.76) and Parker’s Kinsley Kline (pole vault, 11-6).
David Prouty won the 400 relay (52.1), Parker Charter won the 1,600 relay (4:16.11) and Sutton claimed the 3,200 relay (10:22.15).
