Michael Kim was among the players to have taken advantage of the more favorable conditions at Aronimink on day three of the PGA Championship.

Kim only just made the cut in Pennsylvania, but was quick to make headway early on Saturday with an impressive three-under 67.

That followed his rounds of 73 and 70 on Thursday and Friday respectively, with the American now heading into round four on even par.

And as he often does, Kim has shared fantastic insight into his round with a detailed analysis on social media, where he suggested one mistake at Aronimink.

Michael Kim claims Aronimink ‘overdid’ hole 13 at the PGA Championship

After his third round of the PGA Championship, one-time PGA Tour winner Kim wrote on X: “Course thoughts for y’all while watching the leaders:

– Pins are in much more manageable spots today. Thursday Fri, felt like I had to be conservative even after hitting it to the right spot because they were on top of a crown. You’re able to make more birdies today for sure.

-15 is still impossible lol

– Wind is from a different direction today making tee shots trickier

– They overdid 13 moving it up too much… I hit 7wd on a par 4 on the green. Aldrich [Potgieter] might hit 5i

– If you miss in the rough, miss it wide and the rough is really trampled from the crowd

– Birdies and eagles are there if you hit the shots. Should be an exciting Saturday!

Michael Kim jokes ‘pars are overrated’ after roller-coaster PGA Championship round

Kim certainly took full advantage of that suggested mistake on the par-four 13th hole, driving the 292-yard green and sinking his putt for eagle.

He can now relax after a very satisfactory day at Aronimink, where many of his rivals will now be targeting low-scoring rounds.

However, windy conditions likely won’t make things too straightforward, with Kim undoubtedly glad to have already wrapped up his third round.

He soared up the hugely congested PGA Championship leaderboard, having carded one eagle, seven birdies, five pars, four bogeys and one double bogey on Saturday.

Sharing a snapshot of that roller-coaster round and tagging CBS Golf’s Shane Baceon, he joked on X: “Pars are overrated am I right.”

Also enjoying fine runs early on moving day were Kristoffer Reitan, Chris Kirk and Justin Rose, all of whom posted five-under 65s.
