Michigan State baseball is gearing up for the Big Ten Tournament that will begin on Tuesday, but before that happens, the future of the program got a little brighter to start the week. The Spartans picked up a big commitment from JUCO standout Evan Morrison.
Morrison, a Macomb (MI) native, is a 6-foot-3 and 210 pound catcher. Attending Dakota High School for his prep career, he was a standout at Macomb Community College this past season. With MCC, Morrison hit .337 while sporting a 1.014 OPS.
After just one year at the junior college ranks, he will bring three years of eligibility, with a potential of a fourth year with the new NCAA rules, with him to East Lansing next year.
Next chapter 💚🤍
I’m proud to announce my commitment to Michigan State University. I want to thank God for this opportunity, my family, teammates, and coaches for believing in me and helping me along the way. Go Green! #juco#committed
