Kansas City Chiefs wideout Rashee Rice will reportedly miss team OTAs and minicamp after he reportedly violated his parole. Rice allegedly tested positive for marijuana, forcing him to serve 30 days in jail, which will overlap with team OTAs and minicamp, according to Matt Foster of KSHB 41 News in Kansas. City.
Rice, 26, was serving probation as a result of a multi-car crash in which he was involved in 2024. Rice was reportedly driving the car that caused the crash.
With Rice’s legal situation up in the air, the wideout was allowed to play in 2024. But a torn LCL and hamstring injury limited him to just four games. The following July, a Dallas County judge sentenced Rice to five years probation and 30 days in jail. As part of that sentencing, Rice was allowed to choose when he would serve that time as long as he remained compliant with his parole.
Following his reported parole violation, Rice will serve that jail time now and will reportedly be released from custody June 16, per KMBC 9 News.

Shortly after Rice was sentenced in 2025, the NFL handed Rice a six-game suspension for his role in the 2024 car crash. Rice served that suspension at the start of the 2025 NFL season, and returned to play in eight games with the Chiefs before he was shut down with a concussion.
