FSU softball continues historic run with four more national honors

The accolades keep coming for Florida State softball. Four Seminoles have been named Softball America All-Americans, headlined by junior shortstop Isa Torres earning first team recognition while pitcher Jazzy Francik and pitcher/outfielder Ashtyn Danley, along with third baseman Jaysoni Beachum, each collected second team honors — a haul that underscores why this program remains one of the most decorated in the country.

The quartet’s recognition caps a remarkable individual awards run for a Florida State team that nearly swept the ACC’s major postseason hardware.

Isa Torres — First Team

Torres put together one of the greatest individual seasons in college softball history. The junior shortstop finished with 98 hits on the season, tying the FSU single-season record, while posting a .530 batting average and 16 home runs. Torres broke the NCAA record with 16 hits in 16 consecutive at-bats and reached base safely in 23 straight plate appearances. She won the ACC Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year awards and was named a Top 3 finalist for the USA Softball National Player of the Year.

Jazzy Francik — Second Team

Francik finished with a 24-3 record (most wins by a Seminole pitcher since Kathryn Sandercock in 2023) with a team-leading 1.86 ERA across 154.0 innings pitched. The sophomore became the first Seminole since Meghan King to throw three or more career no-hitters and was named ACC Pitcher of the Year. Francik was also named the MVP of the ACC tournament after allowing just one earned run in 11.2 innings pitched.

Ashtyn Danley — Second Team

Danley was one of the most versatile contributors in the country as a two-way player all season long. She earned ACC Pitcher of the Week honors after picking up three wins in a single week — including a victory over No. 8 Florida — allowing just one earned run across 11.2 innings, while also delivering a game-winning home run against Georgia Tech from the batter’s box. Danley was named second-team All-ACC and first-team All-Tournament.

Jaysoni Beachum — Second Team

The Tallahassee native was one of the nation’s most feared run producers from wire to wire. Beachum hit .406 with 10 home runs and a team-leading 69 RBI (fourth-most in school history). She reached base in 45 consecutive games — tied for the second-longest streak in program history, and walked 51 times to post a .549 on-base percentage ranking in the top 25 nationally. Softball America had already named her the No. 2 third baseman in the country well before the postseason began.
