Lewis Hall: Man United handed boost in pursuit of Newcastle star

Manchester United have received encouragement to pursue boyhood Newcastle United fan Lewis Hall.

The former Chelsea youth product left London for North East in the summer of 2023. At Newcastle, he has developed into one of the Premier League’s most accomplished full-backs.

However, Hall is now facing an uncertain future at St. James’ Park.

Lewis Hall willing to leave Newcastle United

According to talkSPORT, Newcastle United face an uphill battle to keep hold of Lewis Hall, who is a Manchester United target.

Hall, who is known for his technical prowess and athleticism, is expected to be part of Thomas Tuchel’s England World Cup squad.

“The tournament in North America will give the former Chelsea youngster the chance to enhance his growing reputation,” the report adds.

It is underlined that Hall is open to a move this summer.

Despite a stellar campaign, the 21-year-old was recently left out of the starting XI by Eddie Howe against Arsenal and Brighton, with Dan Burn being preferred at left-back.

It is claimed United are among the clubs “actively seeking a new left-back” to ease the workload on Luke Shaw. Furthermore, the club’s director of football, Jason Wilcox, is reportedly a big admirer of the Newcastle talent.

However, the Magpies are likely to battle hard to keep Hall as both Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali are pushing to depart as well this summer.

Manchester United considering replacing Noussair Mazraoui

Earlier today, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming United are also considering bringing in solid competition for Diogo Dalot.

Borussia Dortmund right-back Julian Ryerson is one of the names on United’s radar, having earned the nickname “assist king” for his return of 18 assists this season.

However, a potential move for Ryerson will only go through if Noussair Mazraoui departs.
