Kentucky offers a rising four-star center in the 2027 class

The list of 2027 recruits who have been offered by the Kentucky Wildcats continues to grow. Coach Mark Pope has already added several names to the list this week, and have added another on Tuesday with an offer to center Lewis Uvwo.

Uvwo is a 6’10”, 210 lb center out of Florida known for his shot-blocking ability. He is a four-star recruit and is ranked as the No. 19 overall player in the class by 247Sports. He has flown up the rankings recently due to some good performances on the Nike EYBL circuit.

Currently, Uvwo is known mostly for his defensive prowess. He’s a tremendous rim protector and rebounder with a developing offensive game. If his scoring ability catches up to his defense, he could finish as a top ten recruit.

Kentucky joins a growing list of schools looking to add Uvwo to their 2027 class. Ten SEC teams, including Arkansas, the Florida Gators, and the Alabama Crimson Tide. As he rises up boards, his recruitment is sure to get even hotter, and more teams will likely join the hunt. Pope needs some recruiting wins, and Uvwo would be a nice start.
