Do the Las Vegas Raiders have enough to go from worst-to-first in the AFC West next season? The Raiders are still a developing team, but have the talent to string together more wins in the division in 2026.
Of the eight teams that have the chance to go from last in their division to first next season, Pro Football Focus’ Bradley Locker, puts the Raiders ranked No. 6 with an improbable likelihood of capturing the AFC West crown in 2026.
The Raiders finished tied for the worst record in the league in 2025 (3-14). Las Vegas finished behind the AFC West champion Denver Broncos (14-3), Los Angeles Chargers (11-6) and Kansas City Chiefs (6-11) in the division standings.
Las Vegas will have more help in 2026 with the presence of No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza, Kirk Cousins and Tyler Linderbaum on the team. However, the Chiefs have the potential to win double-digit games next season, while the Broncos remain Super Bowl contenders and the Chargers a playoff-worthy team.
The Raiders have a tall task ahead of them to rise to the top of the AFC West division in 2026. A division crown for Las Vegas is improbable, but a much better finish from last season, even doubling their win total from 2025, is likely.
